Potable water: ‘Kaduna water board rated best in Nigeria’

He said this during the handing over ceremony to the Permanent Secretary of the ministry following the dissolution of the cabinet by Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero last week.
He confirmed that the rating by the international agencies was correct, adding that it was not a political statement.
“Water is life and if we don’t work hard, it means we want to kill people because our work impacts directly on the lives of people. The Ministry of Agriculture produces food but sometimes people can survive without food for some days but no human being can survive without water for a long period of time because about 70 per cent of the content in the human body is water,” he said.
Ayuba commended the cooperation and synergy between the ministry and its parastatals, urging the staff of the ministry to maintain the relationship and the excellent job.
The commissioner who was just three months in office after he was transferred from the Ministry of Finance urged customers to endeavour to pay their water bills regularly.
Responding, the acting Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Nuhu A. Bamalli, promised to continue the good work and the cooperation existing between the ministry and its parastatals.
