Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya

Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, has enjoined  Muslims to use the opportunity provided by the holy month of Ramadan to pray for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The governor, who made the call yesterday, noted that this year’s Ramadan was coming at a time the world is battling to contain the coronavirus pandemic, hence the need for all to intensify prayers and seek Allah’s intervention against the plague.

He also urged the people to continue to observe the standard safety guidelines and other protective measures against the pandemic such as, “avoiding mass gatherings, maintaining social distancing and personal hygiene while undertaking your daily routines, as I am optimistic that we will surely overcome  the new challenges and emerge stronger.”
