Preference for foreign ICT brands increases unemployment rate in Nigeria – Zinox

The chairman of Zinox, Leo Stan Ekeh who spoke during a facility tour to the Zinox headquarters in Lagos by the Executive Management of Buy Naija, a private sector-driven local patronage initiative of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment said innovations in Nigeria are stunted, not harnessed for national development because there are no funds from patronage to pursue research to its logical conclusion.
Leo Stan described Buy Naija campaign as a bold initiative and urged the project team not to relent as the fight for Nigeria’s development must be fought from all fronts.
He said, “As a PC manufacturer and solutions provider, Zinox was launched on the conviction that only high quality products and services would survive the onslaught of numerous global technology giants. Zinox remains the strongest partner of Microsoft and Intel in sub-Saharan Africa, a relationship that helps sustain the world-class quality standards of the Zinox brand. Today, the company has evolved into a domain for integrated ICT solutions, integrated e-library solutions provider, certified e-education specialist, certified adigital power provider, advanced systems integrator, biometric solutions specialist and many more.”
He said Zinox is in this partnership because of the urgent need for a new orientation towards Made in Nigeria products and services saying “we must love this country and be prepared to go the extra mile for her”.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Project Management Team, William Iheanacho Otabil, expressed delight at the quality of professionals, the digital factory, training facilities and expansive layout of the robust investment at the Zinox headquarters.
He said that before the visit he did not know that such an edifice existed in Nigeria and said that Zinox was yet to get its due in terms of recognition and patronage.
Otabil said that the love of Nigeria, as shown by the dedication of the Zinox Group, is central to the realization of the Nigerian dream.
