For sometime now, there have been altercations between the Executive and Legislature, and I think it’s time they put their differences aside and think of delivering on the promises they made to the masses.

The battle for supremacy is not doing Nigerians any good. At the moment Nigerians are suffering and in dire need of purposeful leadership.

 It is important for the Executive and Legislature to work together. There is no competition between the two, as each has its role defined for it.

The legislature should focus on bills that will improve on the lives of the ordinary Nigerian. They should also take their oversight functions seriously.

There is also the issue of the budget which is still pending before the National Assembly. I urge the lawmakers to work on it so that it can be signed into law as soon as possible.

It is unfortunate that despite the fact that the Senate is made up of more APC members than the opposition, there is no synergy between them and the APC led presidency. Things must change if we hope to move forward as a country.

I urge the two parties to sheath their swords for the good of the county.
