The news that Bakassi Strike Force overran C’River local government areas and reportedly formed a parallel government by demanding inclusion in Amnesty is disheartening to say the least.
The Niger Delta Avengers have upped their ante in destroying the nation’s economic mainstay and copiously obfuscating the essence of any sensible negotiation. The most incredible action of all is the hoggish strike action initiated by PENGASSAN which impudently discountenances the mood of the nation and the expediency of national trajectory to press for self-infatuated sectoral gratifications.
The aforementioned pressure mounted on a fledgling presidency set on repositioning Nigeria on the path of renaissance is not exhaustive. The corrupt elites are not comfortable with the thriving anti- corruption campaign have seized both electronic and the print media to divert attention from the substance of governance to the pedestrian fringe of restructuring.
The activities of the deranged Niger Delta Avengers, the criminal determination of the Bakassi Strike Force, the belligerent struggle of Boko Haram and the deafening decibels of restructuring have combined to represent a last ditch venal onslaught of the kleptomaniacal mafia to undo the country.
