Primaries: FCT APC reconciliation c’ttee meets aggrieved aspirants

Members of the reconciliation committee set up by the Chairman of the APC in the FCT, Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, on Tuesday, met aggrieved aspirants of the party from the six area councils.

The reconciliation committee, led by its Chairman, Sen. Adamu Sidi Ali, met with some chairmanship and councillorship aspirants in Abaji and Kwali area councils.

Sen. Sidi said the objective of the visit was to hold a peace and reconciliatory talk with the chairmanship and councillorship aspirants who lost their tickets in the just concluded APC primary elections.

He said the need to meet with the aspirants became necessary, saying APC as a family needed to reach out to them in order to give them a sense of belonging so that the party would wax stronger and emerge victorious in the 2019 elections.

“It was on this premise that the APC chairman deemed it necessary to put in place this committee that comprised of party chieftains to reach out to all the aggrieved aspirants across the six area councils to see that they are given a sense of belonging,” he said.

The committee chairman, therefore, urged the aggrieved aspirants to be patient, faithful and accept the outcome of the primaries in good faith.
