Private schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, have reopened and classes resumed for the third term on Monday after four weeks of second term holiday, even as many parents struggle to pay fees.
Daily Trust gathered that schools in Maitama, Wuse, Gwarinpa and Utako districts recorded about 75 per cent attendance while some schools that are in Gudu, Kubwa and Jahi districts recorded higher turnout.
The proprietor of Glisten International School, Samira Jibir, said lessons have fully commenced in her school.
 The Executive Director of Lightway Academy School, Joy Agbese, said that 75 per cent attendance was recorded on Monday.
 It was gathered that most parents haven’t paid school fees.
 A parent, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, said his children are yet to resume because he hasn’t been able to pay their school fees.
