The group, Northern Youths for APC 2015, stated this at a press briefing in Abuja Thursday.
Addressing the gathering, president of the group, Sani Halliru Maiwa, said the group has already embarked on a voter education campaign to educate the electorate on participating in the elections.
The group said the campaign started from the North Central which kicked off in Abuja and extended to Nassarawa and Niger states.
It said that it intended to carry out the campaign to all the 19 states of the North to develop a wider collaboration through its state coordinators with all other youth groups to educate the electorate.
It called on Nigerians to remain resolute and vote for the APC presidential candidate as according to the group, the postponement of the election is an attempt by the PDP to frustrate and lower the morale of the electorate before the elections.
“We are aware that the election date shift from February 14 and February 28 to March 28 and April 11 are calculated attempts by the ruling PDP to douse the ever soaring popularity and acceptability of our presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, whom they feared would sweep the votes at the polls,” the group said.
It lamented that the PDP has failed to address the various problems facing the country and decried the devastating effect of insurgency in the North East, accusing the PDP-led federal government of lack of political will to fight it.
