Assuming your kid cuts his finger while playing with a sharp object, your first reaction would be to get to the nearest drug store, without realising that there is a first aid treatment right in your kitchen cupboard. Turmeric is known to have antiseptic properties.

Dab a generous amount of turmeric powder on the fresh cut. That will help stop the blood flow and prevent infections. Afterwards, you can go for further treatment (if there’s still need for it).
