Try these:
The season of big meals and endless eating is here. But you can keep from eating too much without having to skip meals. Just follow these tips:
1. Don’t leave home hungry, or you might be tempted to eat everything in sight. A little breakfast helps.
2. Watch the drinks. Beverages contain as much sugar content as eating three bread pieces.
3. Water is good. The more water you drink, the less you are going to eat.
4. Quality not quantity. You don’t need to eat everything on offer. Pick only what you really want.
5. Forget who-send-you plate. Use a small plate instead. That fools your brain into agreeing you have quite enough.
6. Veggies first. Grab the greens first and savour them; the protein comes next and starch last.
7. Eat slow. Taking your time over your food means you don’t rush through your plate and go for seconds or thirds.
8. Get some move on. You might be tempted to drive around with your kids. Walk with them instead. Getting physical helps.
