‘Procurement Act has reduced abandoned projects’

Speaking in Abuja at the weekend, Kaola commended for the federal government strengthening the procurement process “which has positively affected the construction industry, reducing the number of uncompleted buildings across the country”.
He said while the credit goes to former President Umaru Yar’adua for signing the law, President Goodluck Jonathan deserves commendation for promoting the bureau in the overriding public interest, saving the nation’s huge losses due to uncompleted buildings that always degenerate.
He however advised government to ensure that right persons are appointed into public offices for effective facility management of the public infrastructure.
