The National Coordinator of Scholars for Good Governance, Professor Adamu Ahmed has been appointed as the Director of Advancement of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ibrahim Garba, who approved the appointment in a letter signed by himself penultimate week said the appointment is for the initial period of two years and which is renewable for another period of two years after satisfactory and unprecedented achievement.
The vice chancellor who said the appointment is based on Professor Adamu’ s serene interest in the development of the University and his unparalleled commitment for education generally.
He therefore charged Professor Adamu to bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to bear on the directorate which the institution hopes to rely on in terms of revenue generation and linkages to world donor organisations and philanthropists devoted to educational development.
Professor Adamu Ahmad is a Professor of Urban and regional planning. Before his present appointment, Professor Adamu has held several administrative positions in the university which included Head of Department of Urban and Regional planning, Deputy Director of Ahmadu Bello University Consultancy Services (ABUCONS).
