Award-winning author Femi Osofisan’s last good read is Abubakar Adam Ibrahim’s ‘Season of Crimson Blossoms’. “Well, I’m reading so many books at the same time anyway and the last one I just read is Ibrahim’s ‘Season of Crimson Blossoms’ which I really loved,” he says, adding that for a first attempt “it’s really tremendous. I haven’t met him yet, but very much hope to speak to him very soon.”

Osofisan adds that he will urge anybody who hasn’t read it to go and do so. “Particularly nowadays, I’m worried that most of our writers are beginning to exile themselves, writing in America. My fear is that when we move there we tend to forget the problems at home which have not been solved yet. We mustn’t take our focus away from those ones,” he insists. For this reason he is happy about Ibrahim’s book, which he points out, talks about the situation of anomy in the society.
