Deputy Dean, Faculty of Arts, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Professor Idris Shaaba Jimada, has been appointed Director of Arewa House. He replaces Professor Sule Bello.

Arewa House is a centre for research and historical documentations under the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

His appointment, which was approved by the Vice Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Professor Ibrahim Garba, was in recognition of his immense administrative and academic qualities.

The new Director, was Head, Department of History, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In addition, he was the founding Head, Department of History and Archaeology (now History and International Studies), Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State.
