Mark made the commendation when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Sule Lamido at the Government House, Dutse recently.
He said: “Though I am here to see my brother, friend and collaborator, Sule Lamido, I must use this opportunity to commend an excellent lady, Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufa’i, our former minister of education who gave a good account of herself as minister of education.
“I must confess that she did excellently well and she has brought sanity to the education sector. I was very impressed with the way she behaved when she was relieved of her post as minister.
“She thanked everyone who worked with her, handed over and immediately moved on.”
The Senate president said Prof Ruqayyatu represented the womenfolk very well and was an excellent ambassador of Jigawa State.
He added that has contributed her quota to the educational sector and history will be kind to her for the achievements she recorded.
