Professor Utomi noted “with pleasure the exemplary quest” of Oba Olasore for a better society through service to his people of Iloko-Ijesa.”

He recalled his staunch stand for what was right in his stint as a public servant as well as in the business sector.

“Your exemplary quest for a better society…by speaking the truth to power is worthy of emulation. I recall that as a noted public servant and business personality, you  consistently sought to bring knowledge of the policy process and candour in policy discussions into the arena. This, unfortunately, earned you an undeserved removal as the Managing Director of the First Bank many years ago.” He noted that history had since vindicated the illustrious Oba for the views he was stridently advocating.

He expressed pleasure that Olasore had since gone on from the larger national platform to serve his people at the community level. Complimenting him on the success of the Olasore International School, he wished him many more years ahead in his quest to bring development to his people.
