Over 30 professional groups in Kano state have resolved to work under one umbrella to pursue speedy and uniform growth across various sectors of the state’s economy.
Chronicle learnt that the amalgamated professional groups would work under the aegis of Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) to fast tract multi-sectoral approach to economic and social development of Kano state and the nation at large.
The Chairman, Kano state chapter of the association, Architect Abdullahi Abubakar, who made the disclosure, said the move was necessitated by the desire of members to contribute their quota towards the development of the state and the country.
He said, “Though the association has been in existence at the national level since 1980s, but the decision to form Kano state chapter was a response to the clarion call for service to humanity.
“As professionals with different callings to service, I believe if we could work as a team under one umbrella, Kano state would achieve speedy and uniform transformation across various sectors within a very shortest time.
He disclosed that the group would be formally inaugurated next week, and its pioneer executives would be sworn-in to pilot the affairs of the organization as it strives to accelerate growth and development in all sectors of the state economy.
