Ipswich Town sealed their return to the English Premier League with a 3-0 win over Queens Park Rangers (QPR) on the final ay of the Championship season.
Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys return to the EPL one year after suffering relegation in their first season back in the top flight in 22 years.
They joined English champions Coventry as the two teams to claim automatic promotion, with the final spot to be determined by the playoffs.
Ipswich knew only a win in the last fixture of the season will guarantee their return to the top of English Football, and the players delivered with two first half goals, and a third in the second period to seal a dream return, and set off jubilations at Portman Road.

George Hirst and Jaden Philogene were the first half scorers before substitute Kasey McAteer added more gloss to the scoreline.
Victory saw Ipswich finish the season with 84 points, one ahead of third-placed Millwall who missed out on the second automatic promotion ticket despite also winning their final match of the season.
McKenna praised the team’s character and hailed their fighting spirit that has led to a return to the EPL next season.
“The players have grown over the course of the season… I’m really proud of my family, the staff, the players. It’s not been easy for the group of players.
“They stuck at it and you can’t ever underestimate how hard it is to get promoted to the Premier League. It’s a great achievement.”
