Suleiman Anas, the Controller of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), FCT Command, says the promotion of 733 personnel will significantly boost the morale of firefighters across the territory.

Anas stated this during the decoration ceremony of the newly promoted officers and men on Thursday at the command headquarters in Kubwa.

He assured residents that emergency responses to fire outbreaks and other incidents across the territory would become faster and more efficient, citing the unprecedented advancement as a major motivator for the workforce.

He said, “Promotion is a major welfare issue and a strong motivator. Our officers are in high spirits and are prepared to give 101 percent in safeguarding lives and property.”

According to the Controller, the command recorded its highest number of beneficiaries since its inception following the December 2025 promotion exercise conducted by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

Anas added that this milestone demonstrates the Federal Government’s commitment to personnel welfare and operational efficiency.

He explained that the promotions cut across various ranks.
