The death of a farmer has led to bloody clash between herders and farmers at Bakoshi, Suru local government area of Kebbi State.
The clash has left several houses and property destroyed with hundreds of cattle killed.
The farmers, who were said to have retaliated the death of their colleague they suspected to have been killed by the herders, razed Banbala, a Fulani settlement.
The Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu during his visit to the scene of the clash, expressed dismay over what he called lack of patience by the farmers and herders.
The Governor has ordered for the convening of a meeting of stakeholders, comprising Fulani, farmers’ representatives, traditional rulers, security agencies and the village heads of Yarma, Matamkari, Shema and Bakoshi.
