Chairman of the group Joyce Tagwai stated this in Kafanchan during the NAPPS day celebration that government provides for the public schools but completely forget the private ones despite their contribution to education and national development.
She said: “The private schools have been partnering with the Universal Basic Education and the Federal Ministry of Education and have been paying all dues charged by the state government. We will want the government not to think that we are business oriented but they should help private schools with materials and other equipments.”
Tagwai said the celebration was to showcase the gains and contribution of the private schools to the growth of the nation.
She commended the Kaduna State governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero and parents in the state for their contribution in the development of education in the state.
The state education ministry’s zonal desk officer for Kafanchan division, Rahila David Gaiya, advised proprietors of private schools in the area to register their schools and pay their annual dues.
The payment she said will assist the ministry of education to get rid of fake schools.
