Protesters on Thursday matched to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the allocation of only two out of the nineteen registration areas proposed for the Warri South West Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State.

The protesters called on the chairman of the commission to address the deliberate injustice against the Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom.

In a protest letter to INEC chairman, signed by Hon. Denbo-Denbofa of Ijaw Focal Person, Chief Lucky Oromoni, Chief Samson Oyimi, Chief (Mrs) Christiana Seibribo, and Hon. Michael Oweikpodor, the kingdom vowed to use its last blood to resist any deliberate oppression against it.

“We again call on Mr. Chairman to address the deliberate injustice against the Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom in the allocation of the registration areas in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

‘The Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom, having regard to its majority status, deserves up to eight registration areas, out of the 19 proposed for Warri South West LGA.

“We wish to put it on record that we shall not sit by and be robbed of our political right in broad daylight. We will use our last blood to resist this deliberate oppression against Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom in Warri South West LGA,” they vowed.
