The new provost Kano State College of Arts, Science and Remedial Studies (CAS), Dr Sanusi Yakubu Ahmad has expressed commitment to developing the college in order to address the yearnings and aspirations of youths in the state.
He stated this in an inaugural speech during the handing over of the administration of the institution following the expiration of the tenure of the former provost Hajiya Rabi Muhammad Abdullahi who had served in acting capacity.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Hafsat Ahmad Jingau stressed the resolved of the new provost to expand the academic programmes of the institution through partnership with other institutions of higher learning.
He charged the staff of the college to rededicate themselves to their duties saying effective quality assurance mechanism would be put in place to ensure improved quality of teaching in the institution.
He commended the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for considering him worthy and pledged to justify the confidence reposed on him through dedication and commitment to serve the people of the state.
Speaking earlier the out-going acting provost enjoined Dr Sanusi to use his verse experience to restore the lost glory of the IJMB programme of the institution.
She further implored staff and students of the college to remain steadfast and support the new provost for the good of the institution.
