The event that lasted for four days featured awareness campaign, diabetes, HIV/AIDS screening, football matches and lecture.
 In his remark, the Dean, School of Health Technology (SOHT), Prof I. N. S. Dozie, urged students to lead by example by ensuring a green environment free of dirt and litter while paying attention to their academic studies.
In her speech, an Associate Dean, SOHT, Prof S. T Oparaocha, also advised the students to cultivate good morals during their stay in the institution, saying university is meant to model students morally and academically.
The Head of Public Health Department, Professor A. N. Amadi, presented a paper titled ‘Sanitation and Hygiene: A panacea for healthy living.’
 In a paper, ‘Career in Public Health’, the Dean, School of Health Technology, Prof C. O. Abanobi, told the new intakes the prospects of public health practice and the challenges ahead.
 He therefore called on the students to remain focused and dedicated so that they can excel in their studies.
