This, according to the firm, informed its decision to pay stringent attention to users’ safety on MoboFree.com.
MoboFree.com is a platform mostly for businesses, advertisers and advertising agencies to put their online marketing materials where they have the opportunity of leveraging various means of interaction with their targets using the internet.
Speaking at the official launch of the platform in Lagos, Co-founder and Chairman of the board of Mobo- Free, Mr. Cristobal Alonso said “Online scam and high level of crimes is serious problem in our target markets. It can be dangerous to go to ‘blind date’ with buyer or seller with money or expensive item in your pocket.”
Alonso explained that most boards of classifieds provide only poor contact intonation like phone numbers and sometimes email and as such, the company used a different approach in relating with people on the portal.
