The Chairman of the Gujba local government area of Yobe State, Alhaji Kyari Batarama said yesterday that the school enrolment of Internally Displaced children now stands at 6, 819 pupils in 10 different communities of the area.
Batarama who spoke while briefing the deputy governor Engr Abubakar D Aliyu who is also the chairman, Committee on Resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons, said they were working out modalities in collaboration with community leaders and security agencies to ensure the safety of the school children.
Earlier on, the deputy governor said government was working hard to rebuild schools to fast track the return of pupils and students at all levels.
