Ambali, according to a statement from the university, made the disclosure when he received an Accreditation Team from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in his office.
Professor Ambali said quality assurance is a continuous and on-going process at the university, pointing out that the institution had corrected all the observations made by the team during an earlier visit in 2008.
Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (MS), Prof. Yisa Fakunle, the Vice-Chancellor assured ICAN that the University would welcome any suggestion to improve quality of education in the university.
Earlier in his remarks, the leader of the ICAN Accreditation Team, Prof. Taiwo Ashaolu, expressed the Institute’s pleasure with the progress recorded by the University of Ilorin, saying that the accreditation exercise was not a witch-hunt but an exercise that is based on the principle of quality assurance.
Prof. Ashaolu promised that the team would make its observations known to the university management for necessary action.
