Quality education drives economic growth – Guinea First Lady

The First Lady of Republic of Guinea, Hajia Djene Kaba Conde, has said African countries can attain economic growth by providing quality education in schools.

Mrs Conde made the remark when she visited Guinean students at the Rochas Foundation College of Africa, Owerri (ROFOCA). She said economic prosperity could be rapid if more attention is paid to the delivery of quality education in the continent.

She said five students from her country are schooling free of charge in ROFOCA.

“I received the letter to bring five of my children to study free in Rochas Foundation College through the First Lady of Nigeria Hajiya Aisha Buhari who is a good friend and a sister,” she said.

In her speech earlier, wife of Imo State governor, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha said the college was mainly to provide education to future generation.

She said Mrs Buhari “helped in bringing five children each from the 55 nations of Africa” to the school.
