The artiste has been battling the record label, owned by Kevin Luciano-Gabriel since 2006, over a pending production deal that had her tied to the label.

The album, being sold at a  N150, also features another former Questionmark act Silver Saddih. Some of the songs contained on the CD appeared on her debut ‘Asa‘, while others are alternate versions.

In reaction to the development, the ‘Fire On The Mountain’ star in a Twitter message described the record as a “dubious album released by criminals to dupe people”.

“My name and photo have been used on a dubious album released by criminals to dupe people, please be informed it’s not a new album! Unfortunately, we blame it on the Alaba Market but it’s not from them but from QuestionMark entertainment!”, she said

Attempts made to the distribution company in charge of the album, MACKINGS Limited, were dismissed and the company refused to address the issue. “Please Asa should go somewhere, I don’t have time for this abeg [sic] ‘, one Kingsley Benson, a company official is reported to have said.

Asa has said she has received death threats from these people, she said, adding that she remains passionate about her music and has kept her head up and focused on always giving her best.
