Rabiu Lawal Meets Youth Minister, Calls for Hope and Service Among Young Nigerians

The Convener of Youth Mandate 2027, Rabiu Hassan Lawal, has called on Nigerian youths to unite in hope and service, stressing the importance of rebuilding trust in democracy and ensuring that young people take their rightful place in shaping the nation’s future.

During a familiarization meeting in Abuja with the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, Lawal highlighted the urgent need to inspire and empower Nigeria’s young population. He stated:

“If we deliver the wins together, we’ll rebuild confidence in the North and nationwide and prove democracy can work for young people.”

Speaking as the voice of the youth, Lawal emphasized the deep concerns many young Nigerians hold about governance and national progress. He noted:

“Youth morale is fragile; many are discouraged about democracy delivering for them.”

The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, in response, assured the group of his readiness to take bold action and make changes that will place young people at the forefront of governance and national development. He pledged his commitment, saying he is prepared to do “whatever it takes to have youth in the four front.”

Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration, focusing on initiatives that will address the challenges facing young Nigerians while building a new generation of leaders committed to national unity, innovation and service.

The meeting marks a renewed step in bridging the gap between government and youth voices and signals a growing movement to restore confidence in democracy through inclusion, empowerment and shared responsibility.
