As sources disclosed to Sunday Trust, the Kaduna based lawyers engaged to defend the case in favour of Rabo must have played a role in seeking the arrest warrant issued by the court ordering the Kaduna State Police Commissioner to arrest and detain him until the next sitting on the matter.

“Ironically, the Kaduna lawyers led by Barrister Gabriel Didam we engaged pleaded for the arrest of our client as we found on the record of proceedings and more to that was that Didam acknowledged praying for the arrest when we called him,” the source said.

He further said, the Kaduna lawyers dropped the case following the motion ex-perte filed before a Kano high court which gave an injunction directing “the Police to stay all actions, in particular from arresting and detaining the applicant (Rabo) pending the hearing and determination of the substantive application”.

The case was filed before the Kaduna magistrate court demanding for a legal redress over the allegations against filmmakers attributed to Rabo which was contained in a media programme aired on a Kaduna based private radio/TV station, DITV/Alheri radio sometimes back.
