Member representing Magumeri/Kaga/Gubio Federal Constituency in Borno State, Hon. Usman Zannah, has distributed of bags of rice, sugar, beans, millet and spaghetti to the indigent members of his constituency.

Flagging off the distribution in Maiduguri, Zannah said the gesture was to cushion the hardship of his people during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

“It has been my tradition for the past years to assist the needy irrespective of their political or religious affiliation, especially during Ramadan and other festive periods,” he said.

He said, the entire month of Ramadan in essence, is a celebration of the Quran’s revelation, which is described as a “Guide and Mercy for those who do good.” (31:3 Holy Quran).

Felicitating with his constituents, Zanna urges people to use the Ramadan period to inculcate the virtues of patience, devotion, self-control, humility, kindness, forgiveness, altruism and other virtues of Islam.

He also urged them to extend those qualities beyond the month of Ramadan for a just and peaceful society.

He appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice-President, Senator Kashim Shettima, for keeping up to their 2023 campaign promises, and Governor Babagana Zulum for the positive transformation of the state.

He also gifts two vehicles to empower some constituents and ease transportation difficulties in the remote areas of the constituency.

Speaking on behalf of other council Chairmen of Gubio and Kaga, Dr. Ali Yaumi of Magumeri, commended the lawmaker for the annual intervention describing it timely.

“We prayed to Allah (God) to bless you, grant you good health, long life and prosperity, so that you will continue to represent us at the Green Chamber,” he said.
