The member in the House of Representatives for Abuja South Federal Constituency, Alhaji Hassan Sokodabo, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful in his constituency on the blessed month of Ramadan and urged them to pray fervently for the country to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sokodabo, while speaking with newsmen yesterday, asked Muslims to take advantage of the month of Ramadan to pray for God’s intervention and an end to the new pandemic that is ravaging the entire world.
“Ramadan is the month in which the Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and fasting during this month is one of the five pillars of Islam.
“As Muslims, there is the need for us to take advantage of this holy month of Ramadan to pray and seek the intervention of God to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.
