Member of the House of Representatives for Fika/Fune Federal Constituency of Yobe State, Rep Muhammed Buba Jajere, has distributed food palliatives to his constituents to support them during the holy month of Ramadan.
A statement by his media office in Abuja yesterday, said the programme, designed to ease the burden of vulnerable households, brought joy and relief to thousands of beneficiaries across the constituency.
The lawmaker during the launch, emphasised the importance of community support and solidarity, especially during Ramadan – a period of reflection, charity, and spiritual growth.
He reaffirmed his dedication to uplifting the lives of his constituents, ensuring that no family goes hungry during this blessed month.
The palliatives distributed include essential staples such as rice, millet, spaghetti, macaroni, sugar, cooking oil, and other food items.
Beneficiaries, including widows, the elderly, orphans, and low-income families, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the gesture.
“This intervention is a blessing. It eases our burden during Ramadan, and we sincerely thank Hon. Jajere for always standing by his people,” said Hajiya Fatima, a resident of Fune.
Another beneficiary, Alhaji Musa Garba, added: “This act of kindness reflects true leadership. May Allah bless him and grant him more strength to continue his good works.”
Local leaders and religious scholars also praised Hon. Jajere’s efforts, describing the intervention as a lifeline for many families who struggle with the rising food costs.
