RAN elects Mbanefo as National President

The Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN) has elected Mrs. Irene Chinwe Mbanefo as National President alongside four executive officers to pilot its activities for the next two years.
 
 Mrs. Mbanefo, who emerged the winner at its biennial conference in Calabar recently, was sworn-in along with other newly elected officers by the Chairman Board of Trustees, Professor Chukwuemeka E.O. Onukaogu.
 
 In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Mbanefo said leadership is a great task that requires commitment, trust, integrity, and transparency. 
“Let me sincerely thank the immediate past EXCO for being able to pilot the affairs of the Association so effectively. It is on record that RAN was able to LEAP Anambra Literacy to an excellent level”, she said. 
 
 Other executives include Professor Stella Ekpe as the vice President, Dr. Sunday Osam Etim, General Secretary, Mrs. Abiodun Ayeni-Daniran, Treasurer, and Director membership, Mr. Thaddeus Ioryem.
 
 The incoming executives, she said, will take every step to liaise with the former team and, seek their input where necessary, in order to attain the association’s overall goals.
