The Retired Army, Navy and Air force Officers Association of Nigeria (RANAO) Kano chapter has described the death of late Air Vice Marshal Mukhtar Muhammad as shocking and a great loss of a principled retired officer.

The association, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Captain Yusuf Abdulmalik (rtd), said late Muhammad was a highly respected person who worked tirelessly for the service of his fatherland.

The statement added that the death of AVM Muhammad was a great loss not only to his family but the North and Nigeria in general. 

The association prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdausi and the family a fortitude to bear the loss.
