A first generation striker of Ranchers Bees of Kaduna, Abubakar Balarable, has commended ongoing efforts by super Eagles star, Sadiq Umar, and House of Representatives member, Bello El-Rufai, to revive the club.

He, however, cautioned the duo to be careful with how they expend their hard earned money on the club.

On Monday, the two influential Kaduna State indigenes announced their plans to resuscitate the moribund club as they work towards returning the lost glory of the once dreaded side.

Plans are in top gear for Ranchers Bees to compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL), for a possible promotion to the elite division of the Nigerian league.

Expectedly, the new development has brought immense joy to former players of the club who are excited that the once illustrious club in Nigerian football is coming back to life.

Speaking to Daily Trust, Balarabe said even as the efforts to revive the club are highly commendable, Umar and Bello must be careful before they would end up wasting their money.

“The best news I have heard in recent times is the concerted effort to bring back the name of Ranchers Bees. Some of us are feeling emotional because we know what the club means to us.

“My only advice is that they should get those who are not only passionate but knowledgeable about football management to lead the club.

“If they are not careful, they would put in so much money without any positive results.

“Therefore, only those who know the business aspect of football should be considered, especially now that they are just trying to rebuild the club,” said Balarabe.
