Comr. Ebizimor Preye Raphael ,Chairman/CEO Orient Community Foundation has Congratulated Hon. Dr Peter Pereotubo Akpe Ph.D, his kinsman on his appointment as Chief of Staff, Bayelsa State Government House.

In a congratulatory message sent to Reporters, Comr. Ebizimor described the appointment as a welcomed development based on the fact of merit and competence.

He said Dr. Peter Pereotubo Akpe has over the years functioned as Deputy Chief of Staff, Acting Chief of Staff in the first tenure of the Prosperity Government, and performed tremendously well hence the appointment.

He said Dr. Akpe’s pedigree goes before him as he is well trained and academically fit for any position in life as he holds a B.Sc. in Technical Education, specializing in Electrical/Electronics and a Master degree in Administration and Planning from the University of science and technology Port Harcourt now Rivers State University of science and technology and also holds a Ph.D. in same discipline from the University of Port Harcourt.

According to Comrade Ebizimor , Dr. Akpe who is also a pastor has worked in both the Rivers and Bayelsa State Civil Service for over 20 years and retired as Assistant Director and his wealth of experience and attitude to work has endowed him to man various positions such as Head of Administration, Office of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State (2006–2007), Commissioner with the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Service Commission (2008–2011), a two-term member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and was Leader of the House between 2011 and 2019.

He equally held other offices as Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council in 2020, Deputy Chief of Staff (2020–2023) and Acting Chief of Staff (2023–February 14, 2024)

The astute administrator is a fellow of several professional bodies, a 5th Degree Black Belter and Certified Kukiwon Coach in Taekwondo, and is currently the Pastor-in-Charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Bayelsa Province 1 and a part-time Lecturer with the Redeemed Christian Bible College, University of Ede, Osun State.

Comrade Preye Ebizimor said ” I want to use this opportunity to thank and commend Governor Douye Diri for the appointment, the choice the governor has made today shows that the miracle governor is ready to change the narrative of governance and bring to bear capable hands that will complete the task he began in his first tenure and indeed make Bayelsa State the glory of all lands and envy of other states in the country ”

The Chairman/ CEO of Orient community Foundation Preye Ebizimor said “i was giving an appointment to work under Dr Akpe when he was the Head of Administration to the Deputy Governor, an appointment that was influenced by him and will forever remain loyal and grateful to him for bringing me into the limelight of Public Administration”

Dr. Akpe as a result-oriented leader that understands Bayelsa state, will work with other political appointees in carrying out the policies and programmes of the government that will lead to more peace, unity, stability and development of the state.

“He said with the wealth of experience and knowledge and years of impact in the public service, there is no gain saying that Dr (Pst) Peter Akpe will perform beyond expectations in discharging his duties effectively, and also with his spiritual background as a pastor ,he will play the role of Joseph in the bible that will bring about advanced prosperity in the state ” he added.
