It was a time of jubilation and thanksgiving to the Almighty God for the members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Christ on the Rock Parish, Mashafa, Mpape, FCT as the church celebrated its 1st year anniversary.  

Admonishing the congregation in his sermon tagged ‘Glory of the Latter House’, Pastor E.A. Adelabu, the pastor in charge of Province 10, FCT, urged the believers to exercise patience and endure hardship as good soldiers of Christ to obtain the promise of God, adding that God is never late to fulfill his promises.

Pastor Adelabu expressed gratitude to God for keeping the church for the past one year despite all odds and challenges. 

“It is God’s mercy and divine favour that has upheld us up till now. The pastors that have been sent to this parish have come back with excuses why things can’t work here but it is obvious today that God sees us through them all.”

He charged the congregation to be strong and steadfast in the will of God despite the hard situations so as to experience the latter glory of God and hope for better future. 

“God always prepares the believers in a unique way to make indelible marks here on earth. Anyone who is not ready to endure hardship, he is not prepared for breakthroughs,” he said.

The pastor-in-charge, Ayobami Ojo, recounted the success of the parish in the past one year and expressed gratitude to God for the uncommon favour and breakthroughs. 

He urged the church to remain dedicated to the kingdom of stewardship, adding that though the parish’s beginning may be small but its latter end shall be great.
