The yearly exercise also included prophetic pronouncements from the general overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye for members and the nation at large. While commenting on the spiritual significance of the exercise, the assistant pastor in charge of the RCCG Northern Province 5, Pastor Ibidapo Emmanuel Adebayo explained that “It is a programme that is programmed with prayers and not just fasting. Every member is always asked to attend prayer meetings because the church is always open through the period for prayers in the evenings. It tends to prepare every minister for full concentration because when you wait on the Lord, you have full concentration, you will not be mindful of canal things. So the men of God have been blessed in their ministries. It has been a blessing in terms of signs and wonders, series of testimonies. During this month of waiting, one of our women was kidnapped, the daughter of one of the senior pastors and the General Overseer prophesised that she would be returned and on the third day, she was returned alive and unhurt. It is also a month that prepares everyone towards the special Holy Ghost service which is always in the month of March. So we are always prepared to enter into the mo nth of the special Holy Ghost service.”

Also commenting on the activities of the church during the period, Pastor Ibidapo stressed that “We also have prayer brochure for the month where we pray for the nation, for the missionaries home and abroad. We also pray for all the countries internationally.  Every member of the church has always been looking forward to welcoming the month of February because, it has been a wonderful change to the lives of every member of the mission in terms of  spiritual revival, financial abundance, marital bliss and ministerial anointing, so everyone was looking forward to be involved because of the testimonies. Personally, I have been blessed to be involved.  In the area of santicifaction, every married couple has to restrain themselves and set themselves apart. Furthermore, the period makes you to be more productive because, as a minister, any sermon you are preparing for during the period will have the special backing of the Holy Spirit because you will be spiritually sensitive and through this, your ministry will progress more.”

The pastor further encouraged every member of the mission to take advantage of the exercise and reposition themselves for God’s divine blessings.
