Re: 2019: I never spoke about Atiku’s bid

I am writing this rejoinder based on a story, captioned: “2019: I never spoke about Atiku’s bid,” published in the Blueprint newspaper of November 15, 2016. Actually, it was Atiku’s aide, Umar Pariya, who uttered the statement during the flagging off of the road construction of Wuro Bolke. Governor Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla did not say a word with regards to the aspiration of the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as it relates to 2019 election.
Throughout his long speech, the Governor Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla, spoke only on the insinuation that is making the round that he is a godson of the former vice president and he dispelled the rumour.
But his Chief of Staff Alhaji Abdulrahama Abba Jimeta, who was unapologetic, said they have to praise Atiku for the fact that he fought for the enthronement of democracy in Nigeria. He recalled that Atiku employed the judiciary to fight the former President Olusegun Obasanjo through legal processes and won about twelve cases he filed. The Chief of Staff therefore made it clear they want the world to know that they are behind the aspiration of Atiku Abubakar even if the earth and moon would collide.
As one of the leading light of the government and the closest aide to Governor Jibrilla, lot of people had the clear picture that he is speaking the mind of the government and his boss on Atiku’s 2019 presidential aspiration. In fact, in politics everything is possible. Looking at the scenario on how the Governor Jibrilla and the Chief of Staff benefitted immensely from former Governor Murtala Nyako, but today, they are not with him.
It is imperative to set the record straight for the discerning minds to know what transpired and the statements made at Wuro Bolke.
