Reading the Obasanjo’s diatribe to President Buhari as well as the debate in the National Assembly one cannot fail to see a grand conspiracy at play. It seems it was premeditated to come out forcefully with all the nasty rhetoric to rubbish the president and his achievements to make him look little in the eyes of the people.
I can assure you that Nigerians are not gullible any more. We have not forgotten that it was Obasanjo who was the architect of the mess that the PDP was. He single handedly hoisted the duo of Yar’adua and Jonathan on Nigeria while being fully aware that Ya’radua was terminally ill. We have also not forgotten that it was during his reign that ‘ghana must go’ became popular in the National Assembly. It was the same Obasanjo who wasted our funds scheming for third term. We have not forgotten the massacres at Zaki Biam and Udi.
Obasanjo should tabulate his achievements in the 8 years of his reign and compare with Buhari’s 3 years for comparison or even the entire 16 years reign of the PDP. Obasanjo was PDP and PDP was Obasanjo because he sired all the governments at the time. What was the level of Nigerians well-being during his time, the 16 years of PDP’s reign and now? Was there any time that our lives in this country could be described as being better for our lots?
I hope PMB is not intimidated by all noise being made. I am sure Nigerians still believe that Buhari is the most honest and the most trustworthy of all the leaders we have had. Can anyone of them tell Nigerians the source of their stupendous wealth? PMB by the grace of God is the best President Nigeria has ever had, no matter what Obasanjo and all those who believe in him.
