The assertion by the former Governor of Yobe state, Bukar Abba Ibrahim, who is also now a serving senator that all ex-governors in the senate including himself have issues with EFCC is nothing but a very well-known fact to all Nigerians. In fact their being in the senate is one of the greatest disasters for Nigeria.
They are just there because the constitution allows that and majority of them forced their way and rig themselves into that office at all cost because of the power of the stolen resources and capitalizing on people’s inability to mobilize and push them away.
That is why I will always clap and congratulate the people of Bauchi Central constituency who mobilized forces and defeated the former governor who wanted to become senator at all cost despite the election being conducted while he is still in office as the governor.
To say that they have issues with EFCC is just an understatement. Sen. Bukar Abba knows the fact and he is saying it plain and simple. The ongoing trial of the senate president is being seen as politically motivated but surely the president has nothing to do with it.
Right now what is giving PMB and indeed all well-meaning Nigerians sleepless nights is the unprecedented number of corrupt, self-centered and naïve people in the senate who have only their interest at heart but not the interest of Nigeria.  
That is the very reason why they are frustrating the efforts of the administration by creating an artificial fuel scarcity and high cost of food items in order to dent the president. Unfortunately, lots of Nigerians have already realized that the fuel scarcity is not as catastrophic as the Boko Haram bombings of all public places in nearly all the states in the federation.
