Re: Almajiri will one day become president, says Clark

With due respect, Chief Clark should note that Nigerians, especially the young folks from the north whom he referred to the almajirai cannot be deceived and placated by his rhetoric in the twilight of the Jonathan administration. I find it amusing that Chief Clark always takes pleasure in making blanket remarks from the comfort of his parlour in Abuja by inviting NGOs and groups purportedly of northern extraction without making effort to reach out to them in the field.
If indeed he has the passion and desired dream for the almajirai in Nigeria, what stopped him from visiting them in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states, by cushioning their plights since the Boko Haram debacle started in 2009? I challenge him to initiate effort to reach out to the less privileged there either through their respective state governments or Jonathan’s campaign coordinators, instead of engaging in triviality. Besides, who is an almajiri in the myopic definition of Chief Clark that he is assuring him of presidency as if he (almajiri) is an alien in Project Nigeria?
If a shoeless individual from the creeks of Niger Delta who was unknown to Nigerians until OBJ singlehandedly brought him to limelight, I see no sane reason why an almajiri who has shoes, and is known to all Nigerians, roaming the streets of the country searching for knowledge and means cannot be president in Nigeria.
I believe that no amount of sweet mouthing from charlatans like the Clarks of this world would make the mass of the almajirai of Nigeria to be swayed from their sworn resolve to be part of the wind of change that blowing from North to the South, East to the West, horizontally and vertically, come 28th March 2015.
