One of them is the need to be cautious in handling the case. However, I am shocked to hear a senior advocate say that security agents, or Nigerian security agents in general, are so demure, so disciplined, they can’t exceed their bounds. Has he not seen (or heard of) military officers from a developed country like the United States, where laws are respected, being charged with irresponsible behaviours? Planting guns on people they kill to cover their mistakes/excesses or urinating on corpses?
Even Presidents of countries, ministers, politicians, the powerful, the rich, etc, can be involved in irresponsible behaviours. Have you not been noticing the imbroglio/fisticuffs in houses of assembly across the country? Are those not irresponsible behaviours? Have you forgotten the issue of Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinski?
 What do you think the Court Martial is meant for? I think everyone should be comfortable with the fact that these officers that the public now believe are culpable in the Apo killings, and all others connected with the issue, remain innocent (and you should know this better) until proved otherwise. Nobody should pre-empt or influence, by their utterances, the outcome of the parliamentary and other investigations into this unfortunate incident.
Whether it was an irresponsible conduct on the part of the officers, intelligence gone sour or the public outcry was baseless, should simply be left to the committees and other panels to determine. Period.
