Perhaps it is not worth the effort to respond to the piece posted by the Kano state Information Commissioner. After all, he was just doing a job he is appointed and paid to do. He is however not being honest or sincere to both Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and the good people of Kano State. Such are the people surrounding the governor who would rather push him into avoidable political suicide as long as they are allowed and paid to serve. 

They do not mind the huge amount of resources expended to sustain the unfortunate political conflict which should have been used for the much needed capital projects. They rather deceive the governor that he is doing well even when the reality is glaringly contrary.

For the records, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso was not avoiding visiting his state but rather avoiding the blackmail of the government and its agents as it occurred when he last went to condole with Ganduje over the death of his mother. The mammoth crowds that met Kwankwaso intimidated those in government and thus ushered in the current crisis. 

Any sensible person should understand and appreciate the restraint, maturity and sacrifice exhibited by the charismatic senator who demonstrated to the world that it is possible to rapidly develop a state even under most difficult circumstances. 

It is laughable that the commissioner is celebrating a poorly executed project (ironically conceived by the same Kwankwaso he attempted to ridicule). Also the former governor built at least four other overhead bridges- including the longest in the country which your government shamefully abandoned. 

It is more than obvious that those around the state governor are so scared about inevitable coming home of the Leader that they are losing any sense of reasoning.
