The above-titled piece attributed to one Abu Najakku on April 7, 2015 is of concern to people of the East and their friends. I personally felt perturbed as those words of Najakku ran throw my veins. With due respect to him, I am therefore compelled to state some of the errors that he scored.
The quotation “And the stone that the builder refused shall be the head cornerstone’…which he described as coming from Bob Marley is actually a passage in Psalms 118:22, Mark 12:10, etc, and was used by King David and Jesus Christ.  In so doing, he committed theological error. He should consult a Christian.
Abu Najakku’s assertion that he met a young Igbo man and an elderly man from South East whose opinions differed from what he wanted to hear is an abuse of his profession. He needs to consult his lawyer, because he committed professional error.
His view that Buhari has done everything to win South East via Dr Chuba Okadigbo and Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke to win over the Igbo shows his lack of political experience in Nigeria. What killed Dr Okadigbo? This is called political error.
He vividly claimed that South East has rejected Buhari‘s aspiration for the fourth time which he traced to the Biafra war of 1967/70 revealed him as ignorant. He should study the history of Biafra war or consult Gowon. Gowon fought the Igbo, and Nigerians know the role the Middle Belt played during the war. Buhari was not the head of state, nor was the Hausa-Fulani. He claimed to be confused on the Igbo’s political choices; on this point I totally agree with him because it simply indicated that he is a disciple of Oba Akiolu of Lagos.  We are not running a one-party system. People should carry out their civic responsibility.
He suggested three things for Buhari to do for the Igbo: Create additional state; give the Ministry of Petroleum Resources to a trusted person from South East; building a second Niger Bridge.
It is wise to state categorically that all Igbo never for any time vote for any president at the same time. We allow our people to cast their votes. Our duty is to contribute and support any elected president, and Buhari will not be different. Najakku’s 3-point agenda is his personal problem and none in it has anything to do with the living condition of the South East. He mentioned “trusted person from the South East and inferiority complex” to show his unwillingness to do away with tribal sentiment.
He selected Dr Alex Ekwueme without mentioning his people who have not congratulated Buhari.
People like Abu Najakku need to learn from Mr Goodluck Jonathan and also wait for the wind of change to know how to be patriotic.
The people of South East are happy that Gen. Buhari has achieved his long-time ambition to rule in a democratic environment.
It is imperative for Daily Trust, Northern Elders and the president- elect to call Abu Najakku to order. He successfully had his way in talking to Jonathan, he should be asked to drop the idea of taking on the people of South East for the next eight years. God bless Nigeria.
