The remarks made by the spiritual head of the Church of Cherubim and Seraphim Reverend Samuel A. Abidoye that President Muhammadu Buhari will save Nigeria (by the special grace of God) is meant to be a clarion call to all and sundry.
Let me quickly say that any Nigerian supporting the good approach, style of leadership, strategy and way of governance of President Buhari is doing so out of sheer patriotism, love for the nation and hope for a better Nigeria, because the president is not the type that will reward anyone for making positive statements about him.
This, therefore, means that Reverend Abidoye’s comments are based on perception and understanding of how bad things were before the current president came into power. The president is ready to lead by example and take us back to where we all belong.
Even among his critics, his only major sin is that he asked some people to return to Nigeria the stolen billions of Naira they took. And what is wrong with that?
We have hundreds of hospitals without drugs, thousands of primary and secondary schools all over the federation with no infrastructure, villages without roads or portable water among others. Of course something must be done to address that and that is what the president is trying to do. While commending the Reverend and the Church for making this comment, I urge all Nigerians to key into the administration’s agenda for the growth of the country.
