I would like to seize this opportunity to remind the Commission about the pending case of the former governor of Bauchi State, Malam Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu. We have made several publications on how his alleged involvement in schemes to defraud Bauchi State when he was governor for eight years. After his return from self-exile, we wrote a reminder to the commission.
Though, he is currently the chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he should not be considered by the Commission to be above the law. If he enjoyed immunity as governor, fine; but now he doesn’t possess any such privilege.
Our prayer is for the Commission to open and continue with the case against him because it would be of benefit to the people of Bauchi State. The commission must act to restore people’s lost confidence in its ability to be fight the scourge, no who is involved.
