I believe quite rightly that the majority of citizens of United States are peace-loving and nice, evidenced by the wave of peaceful demonstrations against their government engaging in needless wars around the globe either in the name of defending democracy or their “War on Terror”. However, that majority are emasculated by the few vocal pro-government citizens and propaganda of the media, many of which are doing the bidding of the avaricious company owners who have got market for their manufactured weapons. The ordinary citizens know too well that they would bear indirectly the costs of the weapons used in the war theatres.
 It is obvious therefore that the mindset of the ordinary American is at variance with that of their government, especially with regard to war. Their government is most of the time under compulsion to go war or create war by the company owners. I think that our Igbo brothers have spoken well by saying; “Ego bu nsogu uwa”.
